Ascott Open the First Serviced Residence in Indonesia

The Ascott Limited (Ascott), a serviced residence business unit owned by CapitaLand has opened the first Citadines serviced residence in Indonesia, because of its market opportunity is still promising.

Ascott Limited press release received in Jakarta said the Citadines Quartier Jakarta is a new building consisting of 135-units which are the property of the 15th under the auspices of Ascott since first the European brand was introduced in Asia Pacific in 2006.

With Citadines Quartier Ascott Jakarta will strengthen Ascott position as the owner and the largest serviced residence operator in Indonesia with more than 1,800 apartment units in nine properties in Jakarta, Surabaya and Bali.

Ascott Managing Director for Southeast Asia and Australia, Alfred Ong said, the Ascott properties and Somerset in Indonesia has achieved an average occupancy rate reached 80 percent.

According to him, Indonesia’s economy is expected to remain strong, according to the Economist Intelligence Unit forecasts that Indonesia’s economic growth estimate by 6 percent in 2010 and 2011.

Fundamental economic growth that reliable will help attract investment and increase the number of tourists and in turn will generate demand for their serviced residence.

Citadines Quartier Jakarta is part of an integrated development that includes office buildings. Citadines Quartier Jakarta offers the type of studio apartments, one and two bedroom as well as terraced rooms.
