But on the other hand, spending on furniture children can spend a budget big enough because usually they want something unique and funny shaped. You should also think about safety for the child.

Sometimes, the debate in choosing the appropriate furniture can also occur between parents and children. Therefore, you should spend a full day to buy it, in order to get the items agreed upon both you and the child, but also quality. There are things to consider when buying furniture for children.

1. Do not buy Fancy Themed Furniture
Bed or chair themed fancy like a car or a bear do make a child’s room more lively and cheerful. But try to calculate, until what age children will love the bed, cabinet or chair with striking colors and shapes like a toy? Perhaps at the age of 5-8 years, they like with any form of fantasy-themed like dinosaurs or robots, but when the age of 10 years and above, not sure they still love it.

So that furniture can be used until the child was a teenager, choose a basic model with classic or neutral colors, for example brown, black or white. The classic bed is more flexible to decorate with various ornaments according to their age. You can add animals- shaped pillows, flowers and cars or using funny motif sheets.

You can also decorate the bed with stickers or paint a picture of their favorite. Well, when the children were older age, you simply adjust the setting with more simple ornaments. You also do not need to buy a new bed when the child is not going to sleep there again.

2. Choose Beds That Can ‘Grow’ with Children
Perhaps you would be interested to buy a mini-sized bed, because it will look very nice when placed in a child’s room. If your child is aged 5-8 years, may not be a problem. But imagine when they was 10 years and over. They would grow tall and the bed will not fit anymore.

Buy a regular size bed that can be used in a long time. To keep children from falling out of bed, put the wooden bar on each side of the bed, or banisters to make it easier to climb and get out of bed. When children are older, you can remove the wooden bar.

3. Security Notice
Of course, the most important thing when choosing furniture for children is safety. Do not select furniture with sharp corners, but rounded. Check each part of the furniture before buying. For example, the cabinets, doors and drawers should be completely covered but not difficult for children while opening it. Shakes the high furniture (cabinets, desks, bookcases) to check the robustness of the items you want to buy. Avoid the edges that are made of metal.

4. Discuss with Children
You could ask your child to discuss about the room as what they want. Ask a few brochures and catalogs, and then show the children. To avoid the demands that are too diverse, limit the choice at 4 to 5 items only, especially to suit your budget.
